9/11 Day of Service
Honor our military members and first responders in this day of remembrance and service. Join us Friday, September 11th, and take part in a volunteer day on a Habitat build site, working alongside other veterans, first responders and community members to commemorate this day through service. We will work alongside one another to help build a home for a local family. Volunteer Build Day – 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (Advance registration required) 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony – 12:00 – 12:30 pm (open to the public)

Community science is a huge part of our water quality monitoring here at CFRW, so we can’t wait to hear from CleanAIRE NC’s Community Science Manager Natalie Smith this weekend! Natalie’s presentation will highlight the fundamentals of air quality monitoring and provide an overview of their AirKeeper Program. Through this program, community members serve as AirKeeper hosts, and CleanAIRE NC provides them with low-cost air sensors for real-time monitoring, right at home.
